We often have positions available for motivated undergraduate students to work in the lab and in the field, and encourage students to apply for an Undergraduate Student Research Award (NSERC USRA) for summer research funding. The best time to contact us about summer research is during the Winter semester.
If you are interested in learning more, please email us your CV and describe what motivates you to join the lab. In your email, please also tell us about yourself and your interests.
Passionate M.Sc. and Ph.D students interested in our research are always welcome to join the lab!
While the lab sometimes has funding for new graduate students (see Current Opportunities), eligible candidates are also encouraged to apply for independent research funding (e.g. through FRQNT, NSERC). We are happy to help you work through these applications (but be aware that deadlines are often far in advance of admission).
If you are interested in working on an application together, please contact Professor Alain Paquette directly and include the following:
We currently have two one year postdoc positions available (see Current Opportunities). Prospective candidates should contact us with the following information:
Think you're out of luck because of your background, a disability, or the way you dress? Relax, we don't care, because innovation is born from diversity. The PaqLab offers an inclusive, equitable, respectful, healthy, and open-minded work environment (because we work there too!).
That aside, if you have (or are likely to secure) external funding, we would love to hear from you!
