Three new students join the PaqLab - Welcome Vanessa, Emma and Davia!
The PaqLab is thrilled to welcome three new students this term: Vanessa Poirier (PhD candidate), Emma Bacon (MSc candidate), and Davia Yahia (MSc candidate). Vanessa’s project will use mobile LIDAR imaging techniques to inventory city trees, Emma's project will aim to understand the diversity and structure of the urban trees found on private land, and Davia’s will examine the wood anatomy and physiology of samples taken from across Canada in relation to climate change. All these projects are part of the new slate of research being undertaken by the Urban Forest Research Chair and are a continuation of previous work completed by other lab members. So nice to see the torch being passed on to the next generation.
A big welcome to Vanessa, Emma and Davia! We are excited to have you join us.
