How is urban pollen distributed in space and time?

This is one of the research questions that Sarah's PhD project is attempting to answer. To acheive this, a vast network of pollen sensors has been set up since April 2021 throughout the entire island of Montreal.

Sarah is currently training with the Aerobiology Research Laboratories in Ottawa to identify the collected pollen grains under the microscope. The objective is to quantify the concentration of each pollen type collected in each of the 24 traps located on the island of Montreal.
