Shan is now an assistant professor at the University of Alberta!
It is with both great pride and sadness that the PaqLab bids farewell to Shan as he embarks on the next chapter of his career. Shan starts his new position as an assistant professor of tree ecophysiology in the Department of Renewable Resources at University of Alberta in September. He plans to explore how trees function (processes like photosynthesis, water transportation, leaf development and shedding) from a mechanistic perspective. The hope is that by better understanding these ecological strategies, we can manage forests in a more comprehensive way.
During your time with the lab, we have greatly valued your expertise, passion, and friendship, and we know you'll continue to make a profound impact in your new role. Wishing you all the best as you embark on this exciting journey—we can't wait to see all the great things you'll accomplish!
