Paula Andrea Morales Morales
I am a Colombian biologist with a background in tropical plant ecology and botany. My research focuses on the study of dynamics and phenology of plant communities, specifically vascular epiphytes.
Currently I am a Master student in the Forests and Environmental Conservation Program of the National University in Colombia. My Master's project focuses on determining priority conservation areas for epiphytic Orchids, in one of the most diverse but also disturbed provinces of Colombia, Antioquia. In the last year of my Master’s degree, I got interested in the use of functional traits as well as physiological methods to better understand the effect on climate change on communities. I am excited to be at PaqLab and learn more on these topics to be able to apply them in my future research.
