Emily Derby
I recently graduated from Vanier College in the Environmental and Wildlife Management program with a major in Sustainability and I am currently studying Environment Biology with a specialization in Wildlife Biology at McGill University. In 2020 I completed a 6-week internship in Costa Rica, as part of my 3rd year in Environment and Wildlife Management, participating in a range of surveys including the Great Green Macaw survey, Caiman Census, Snake Ecology and Morphology survey, Forest Plot monitoring and the Habitat Usage and Distribution of the Neotropical River Otter. When I'm not in school, I'm usually working part-time or volunteering at Reptizoo, taking care of the many reptiles and mammals, as well as helping with presentational events for the public. I am very passionate about reptiles, plants and aquatics and most of my free time is spent taking care of all three, I even have quite a few aquariums currently keeping me occupied.
